Continental CityContact 20×1.25
昨年の東京国際自転車展で見かけたタイヤ、Continental CityContact 20×1.25。ミズタニのブースでは日本での取り扱いがないと言われたものの、注文すれば取り寄せてもらえるかもという情報もいただいた。
で、先月、石川サイクルさんにお願いしてみたら、なんと手に入りました。聞いた話によると、その後、メーカーは20本程入れたらすぐに売れたため、取り扱いを始めたそうです。
といわけで、タイヤ交換・ホイール取り付けのすったもんだは昨日の出来事ですが、今日、佐野サイクルさんでチェックしてもらったら、OKでしたよ、問題なし。やったね、あたしっ！ガッツポーズ。
これまではKHS F20R 2004年モデルをデフォルト仕様で乗っていたので、タイヤはPRIMO 20×1.35 100psiのハイプレッシャー・スリックタイヤ。気になるのは、1.35から1.25に細くなったものの、80psiに空気圧が低くなっている点。転がり抵抗（聞きかじり用語）とかどうなんだろう。
軽く乗ってみた感じでは、非常に乗り心地が柔らかくなりました。そう考えると、100psiってのは大分固かったようにも思えます。とは言うものの、柔らかくなって良かったかというとそうでもなく、なんだかフニャフニャしていて地面の感触、手応えが少なくなって寂しい気がしないでもない。でも、これは慣れの問題かな。
まだ、高速走行・長距離を試してないのでわかりませんが、しばらくこれで様子を見てみようと思います。…大丈夫かな、浜名湖。最近全然乗ってなかったのと、新しいタイヤでちょっぴり不安。
